About ZTNA and Zscaler Private Access
After you successfully connect through Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), you can access KCCD internal resources directly from your laptop. You do not need to use RDWEB, AppStream, JAG, or a desktop on campus. Internal resources, such as banner.kccd.edu, should be available once ZPA is connected.
Connect to KCCD via ZTNA
1. Open the Zscaler client connector.
Use one of the following methods:
- Locate the Zscaler icon in your system tray and double-click it, or right-click and select Open Zscaler.

- Search for “Zscaler” in the Windows search bar and open the Zscaler client connector.

2. Sign in with your KCCD email address.
When prompted, enter your full college/district email address and proceed to sign in.

3. Authenticate with Okta.
You will be redirected to the Okta sign-in page. Enter your full email address and password. When the Okta window appears, an Okta push notification is sent to your enrolled mobile device. Approve the sign-in request on your mobile device.

4. Confirm that Private Access is connected.
After successful authentication:
- You should see a pop-up indicating that “Private Access is Connected.”

- The Zscaler icon in the taskbar should turn blue.

- In the Zscaler window, click the Private Access padlock icon and verify that the service status shows as ON.

5. Verify access to internal resources.
Open a web browser and go to https://banner.kccd.edu/ or another internal resource you are authorized to use. If the page loads successfully, your ZTNA connection is working.

Issue: You are unable to access a specific internal resource or site.
