Microsoft Teams: Getting Started

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams replaced Skype for Business as the primary platform for unified communication in Office 365. Teams combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage (including collaboration on files), and application integration. These features function much the same as they did in Skype for Business; you can send instant messages (chat), hold and attend meetings, share your screen or other content, and hold video and audio calls.

Microsoft Teams Channel Conversations

  • Start a new conversation when asking a new question or starting a new topic.
  • Use threaded replies instead of starting a new conversation when responding to a question or topic.
  • Remember to use @ mentions. The person you are trying to get in touch with is more likely to see your post if you @ mention them.
